From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Akiyama clan was a Japanese clan mainly originating during the Sengoku Period of the 16th century[citation needed]. The Akiyama clan were noted relatives of the Takeda clan of Kai province. Due to this fact the Akiyama served under the Takeda until the year of 1582, in which the Takeda was completely wiped out through the allied forces of the Oda and the Tokugawa.
