[edit] Up for Adoption

Hey, Ajin, I noticed that you are currently seeking adoption. If that is still the case, I would be glad to adopt you, if you wish. I can tell by your contributions you're a great help around here, and I hope you continue to be! Let me know by posting here or on my own user page. Good day, Dåvid Fuchs (talk / frog blast the vent core!) 00:52, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] On Getting Started

Don't worry about screwing up. One of the most important tenets of wikipedia is to be bold! If you ever have a question, the helpdesk is always open. First off though, I encourage you to find article(s) you are interested in ang get to editing them. Maybe there's a topic that you feel could be expanded, whatever. Don't be discouraged if you don't think that you can contribute; I've ended up working on gaming articles, and even if the article's been created, you can always get it up to GA or FAC status, which is a tremendous achievement. Questions, comments, concerns, just drop me a line.

P.S., if you have questions on topics and if your edits are justified, whatnot, the talk page of each article is a good bet to find people also interested in the article. Dåvid Fuchs (talk / frog blast the vent core!) 17:02, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

I see you've been busy; I have a few suggestions. As per improving the pages you've created, I encourage to to read the Manual of Style. It provides a guide for creating uniform and proper-looking pages. Oh yeah, dont forget to sign your talk page comments with four tildes, like so: ~~~~. [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Melbourne High Unicorn.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Melbourne High Unicorn.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Durin 03:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging of Image:Mhs.PNG

This image is a derivative work of Image:Melbourne High Unicorn.png. As such, the original copyright holder retains rights to the image. Your creative aspects of it can be licensed by you, but you can not release the rights of the original copyright holder. Likewise, they could not release your rights to the image. In this case, the image must be used under terms of fair use on Wikipedia, under our license as described at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. Thus, I have removed this image from Template:User Melbourne High School as such images may not be used on templates. Since you replaced Image:Melbourne High Unicorn.png with this image, Image:Melbourne High Unicorn.png is now orphaned in that it is not used in any main namespace articles. I have thus tagged it as orphaned, and the message prior to this one is the generated message regarding that. If you have any questions about these matters, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 03:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

I tried to fix your template and Iam not sure if that is what you want fixed and I apologise if I had made a mistake. Pliz Revert it to its original state if you dont like the changes..--Cometstyles 09:25, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Closing tags

I don't see any issue with your template (on Safari or FF Mac, at least); rather, I think it's how you're using your template. Right now, you're just calling it in the braces, like most templates; however if you subst: the template, it becomes hard coded on the page, and at least in that way I don't see a problem. So using {{subst:User:Ajindustries/welcome}} You get:

Hey Ajindustries ! I've seen that you have signed up for wikipedia. As one of wikipedia's members, I want to welcome you here. Now that I see you have registered, I am pressing some buttons to make sure you get this information-packed message. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a machine-generated response, however, I have actually noticed thay you have joined. I am quite real and I ready to help you find your way around here. Drop me a line any time and I will be glad to get back to you as soon as I can. But in the meantime, you might find some of the following links helpful:

I hope you enjoy it here and decide to contribute to wikipedia frequently. Don't be afraid about making any mistakes - everything on wikipedia is editable and fixable and the other editors here are friendly and helpful. Please feel free to edit the work of previous editors as that is how our instructions will get better over time. Again, welcome. Please feel free to contact me or any of the other volunteers at wikipedia. I hope you stick around here and continue to help build the world's largest free encyclopedia. Post a message for me on my Talk Page

and putting stuff after it doesn't seem to break the layout. Dåvid Fuchs (talk / frog blast the vent core!) 15:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
