On August 11, 2005 a state of emergency was announced for the world's 12th largest port, Port Klang and the district of Kuala Selangor after air pollution there reached dangerous levels (defined as a value greater than 500 on the Air Pollution Index or API).
If the API is "in the form of an integer within 0 and 500", how could the API have breached 500 in Port Klang? 218.186.9.6 10:00, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
The scale 0-500 is only used in Hong Kong. See the bottom of the page for the scale used in Malaysia. Acs4b 05:46, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
