[edit] Why this page is here

A few weeks ago, I created the Boeing VC-25 page as a split off of the Air Force One article, in order to better focus on the VC-25 aircraft itself. At first, I intended to split the pop culture items too, keeping those related to the callsign in general on the original page, and putting those about the aircraft on the new page. It was not easy, and somewhat arbitrary as to what went where. Not long after the split, users started adding items to one page that were already on the other page. I realized then that two lists were not going to work, and tha the simplest solution was to have an Air Force One in popular culture. So, rather than try to wrangle items back and forth between the two pages, I created this page. - BillCJ 19:28, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

The items on the article page as of Mar. 9, 2007 are there as the result of months of editing, discussion, and compromise. You may feel that some of these items are nonotable, but others disagree.

This article services two aircraft-related articles, the Air Force One page, and the recently-spun-off Boeing VC-25 page, so as to avoid having duplicate items on both pages. Please consider this if you chose to respond to any Afds against the article. Thanks. - BillCJ 19:28, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
