[edit] basis for revert

This category has been redirecting to Cat:irports of the PRC previously. It isn't depopulating to move the one or two articles in a mis-populated category. and furthermore there was no concensus to create this category in the first place when it was proposed to move airports of the PRC to this cat in nc:chinese. SchmuckyTheCat 14:25, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)

There is no consensus to make this category a redirect. If you don't agree if its creation, please nominate in onto WP:CFD. — Instantnood 16:13, Mar 27, 2005 (UTC)
What a blatant lie. Persisting in enforcing these changes is a reflection of failure in respecting voting results in Category talk:Airports of the People's Republic of China, and this is not the first time someone had to remind this to you. If this persists, I am indeed going to take action against your rampant and delibrate refusals to accept consensus.--Huaiwei 17:53, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Renaming as .. of mainland China, not creating, was voted down. — Instantnood 21:48, Mar 27, 2005 (UTC)
OH JESUS ZOMBIE CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED! Renaming it was voted down, but making a new one and moving new articles to it instead of the old one is A-OK! because nobody needs to vote on that. Unzombievable. SchmuckyTheCat 02:49, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I am not moving existing articles to this category, rather, I categorised two new articles (of which one of them was created by me upon a request) into this category.
I think this is reaching s stage whereby a formal complaint to admins, or something to that effect, is needed. Here we have one of the BEST examples of blatant abuse of this site and its policies.--Huaiwei 04:52, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] PRC vs Mainland

Instanood, this attempt at backdoor actions is very annoying, to say the least. I personally don't care whether they are in PRC or mainland, but the CFD failed on PRC, and thus that should be honored. Please, please, please. This is a very dead horse. Please stop flogging it. Burgundavia 07:23, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

First of all, the list of airports in Mainland China was not created by me. I am consistent to place mainland China-related articles to mainland China-related categories. The CFD to move was failed, because people thought it was necessary to keep a category for the sovereign State. The discuss did not deal with what to do with airports in the mainland. — Instantnood 11:29, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)
No one accuses you of creating that category. The obvious problem with you is your inability in coming to terms with the results of that vote process. The above statements simply enforces this.--Huaiwei 12:23, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Please tell in what way do the discussion and poll result at CFD outline how airports in mainland China should be categorised? — Instantnood 13:30, Mar 28, 2005 (UTC)

There is a dispute between two versions. To see the other version: [1], to compare: [2]

[edit] "China"/"PRC" vs. "mainland China" for page titles

Following the long discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese) regarding proper titling of Mainland China-related topics, polls for each single case has now been started here. Please come and join the discussion, and cast your vote. Thank you. — Instantnood 15:18, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Don't delete

This category has been kept as a {{categoryredirect}}, pending how mainland China should be dealt with for categories be resolved. Deleting this category will make edit history and talk page being lost, reducing the opportunity to bring the matter towards resolution. — Instantnood 18:39, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Keeping ancient disputes (april 2005) open as an editor battleground is not the point. This is an orphan and has been for a year. Should some sudden decision be made to re-use them, they can be re-created. That seems highly unlikely. SchmuckyTheCat 20:00, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
