- On June 1, 2007, Air Canada will start non-stop service to Rome-Fiumicino from Montreal-Trudeau, with 7 weekly flights. Air Canada is contemplating whether to start more new services to other European destinations from Montreal-Trudeau in the near future.
- In the summer of 2007, Air Canada will commence service to Guangzhou, China from Vancouver, British Columbia. It is going to use a A340-300 on the flight.
- Air Canada will start non-stop service to Sydney, Australia from Vancouver (replacing its current route via Honolulu) on December 14th, 2007 using new Boeing 777 aircraft. Air Canada has also announced it no longer plans to fly to Australia via Los Angeles.[1]
