Air (French for "aria"; also ayr, ayre), a variant of the musical song form, is the name of various song-like vocal or instrumental compositions.

Popular examples include the Air from the 3rd Orchestral Suite, BWV 1068 (Air on the G String is a solo violin arrangement made in the nineteenth century by August Wilhelmj), or the Air with variations, BWV 991, a baroque clavier work, both composed by J. S. Bach.
