AIR FM Rainbow

AIR FM Rainbow is a group of FM radio channels across India. It is run by All India Radio, a government owned enterprise. It features Hindi and regional language songs and occasional English songs along with hourly news in English, regional language and/or Hindi. In Mumbai and in many other cities, it operates on 107.1 megahertz. In Kanpur, it uses the 103.7 MHz slot. It was earlier called FM Metro, the name was changed to FM Rainbow in 2002.

It has some of the most popular English music slots on air, namely the 8am-10am drive time slot and the 11pm-12am late night slot each day. These slots along with the Hinglish ones are hot favourite among English music lovers of Mumbai. One can find some of the best Radio Jockeys on FM Rainbow in Hindi, English and Regional language programs, though many of them like Hrishi K. from the morning and evening slot, Santosh and Prachi from the weekend Mumbai Meri Jaan slot, Pallavi from the Hello Mumbai slot and many others go missing at times, with the listeners just wanting to have them back. Many famous names on private radio stations started their career as RJs on FM Rainbow.
