[edit] History

In May 2006, NCsoft announced the development of Aion and that the game would be featured at E³ 2006 [1].

[edit] Factions

Two playable factions exist, Angels, and Demons. A third faction, Dragons, will be computer controlled.

The role of the Dragons is to try to keep a balance in the world. If one of the other factions begins to gain control over the other, the Dragons will attack the winning faction.

[edit] Classes

Four base classes are currently available, with a total of eight classes planned for the final version of the game [2]

  • Wizard
  • Ranger
  • Warrior
  • Priest

There are more classes to be announced. The classes listed above are for Angels. The Demon classes will be announced at a later date.

[edit] Features

A distinctive feature that this game will have is the concept of flying. Characters will be able to fly (the screenshots on the gallery suggest that the characters have wings) and perform skills related to flying such as takedown skills that drops a character flying down to the ground. There is a chance demons cannot fly.
