Although this 2005 independent film is entitled "Aimee Semple McPherson" the wikipedia article on the movie is entitled "Aimee Semple McPherson movie" to avoid confusion with the biographical article on Aimee Semple McPherson.

The naming convention here would be to call it "Aimee Semple McPherson (film)" or Aimee Semple McPherson (2005 film)" if there are others by the same title. -Will Beback 00:40, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Status

What is the status of this project? Reading between the lines it sounds like there have been a couple of special screenings. Is the editing complete? Is it looking for distribution? Has it been in festivals? At Sundance? It's hard to tell. -Will Beback 00:45, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

According to www.imdb.com, probably the most popular internet movie database, the film screened at Sundance. I saw it at a film festival in Germany and also in Phoenix, Arizona. 3-21-06 Frank Corsello

We should probably add a list of screenings or festivals, and of awards. I notice three messages on this page that come from one computer IP address, but signed with two names. If the computer is in an office connected to the project then it might be nice if the editors would make that clear. Individual editors would do well to get usernames, they're free. [edit] Update

ASM has become an international phenomenon due to the religious controversy and attempts to ban the film by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. For further research on religious opposition to the film, visit www.foursquare.org and see church statement on "Richard Rossi movie." Gina Lindley

It'll probably stay, but we've got to get rid of this kinds of text, These devotees perceive Richard Rossi as an artist with a tenacious spirit, an innocent outsider who will do anything to see his vision realized, less concerned with entertainment value than with getting his personal struggles expressed on the screen. It sounds like it was written by a publicist. -01:07, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
