Ailbhe Mac Shamhráin, Irish historian.

Presently lecturor in Medieval Irish Studies Programme at the Department of Old and Middle Irish, NUI, Maynooth. Research fellow on the Monasticon Hibernicum Project (funded by the Ireland Research Council for the Humanities and Social Sciences). Has published a number of papers on early Irish political and ecclesiastical history.
