The meaning varies depending on the kanji used to write it. Several written forms include:
愛 子 — beloved child旭 子 — child of the morning sun愛 馨 愛 湖 愛 幸 姶 娘 — the first kanji can also be read as 'good-looking'. The second can also be read as 'girl'.葵 子 — the same kanji can be used to write Riko and Kiko as well as the more similar Aoko, Aoiko, and Ako.
