VALIC Financial Advisors, a member of American International Group, Inc. AIG, is an insurance corporation that specializes in tax-qualified retirement plans, supplemental tax-deferred and after-tax investments. VALIC's headquarters are in Houston, Texas. VALIC currently manages long-term investment programs for more than 28,000 education, healthcare, public sector and other organizations representing nearly 2 million investors in 41,000 locations in the US. VALIC ranks in the top 10 of all US and Canadian life insurance companies, based on its nearly $44 billion in assets. VALIC is a certified member of the Insurance Marketplace Standards Association (IMSA). VALIC stands for variable annuity life insurance.
