Aidan Fogarty

Aidan Fogarty (aka Taggy Fogarty) (born 20 July 1982) is an Irish sportsman. He is a player on the Kilkenny senior hurling team.

Aidan Fogarty was born in Urlingford, County Kilkenny in 1982. He was educated locally and currently works as an electronics engineer. Fogarty's talent as a hurler was quickly noted and he soon made his way onto the Kilkenny inter-county team. In 2003 he first tasted success when he won an All-Ireland Under-21 medal. That same year he made his breakthrough onto the Kilkenny senior panel. Since then he has won three Leinster Championship medals in 2003], 2005 and 2006. 2006 was a very special year for Fogarty. That year he won a National Hurling League medal as well as playing a key role in the All-Ireland Hurling Final against Cork. In that game he scored the winning goal and was hailed as the hero of the day.
