Ai o torimodose

"Ai o torimodose!!" (愛をとりもどせ!!), also known as "YOU wa SHOCK" from its refrain, is the famous opening theme of the popular Japanese TV series Fist of the North Star (aka "Hokuto no Ken"). The song's title means "Take back the love!!" in English and is performed by the rock band Crystal King, who also created the theme for Lupin III. Hokuto no Ken (北斗の拳) was first aired in Japan on October 1984 and since then has been broadcasted in Asia (Hong Kong, Korea), in Europe, starting in France in 1988 and following years later in Italia and Spain, then in America. More than twenty years after, Hokuto no Ken is still a popular franchise selling TV series season, OAV, and theatrical movie DVDs, popular pachislot machines and million seller video games derivated from these pachislots. Ai o torimodose is featured as an extra "special BGM" in the PlayStation 2 version of the multiplatform Jissen PachiSlot Hisshohou! Hokuto no Ken video game and is also played whenever a "Fatal KO" (Fatality) is performed in the 2005 Sega-Sammy arcade beat-em-up game. Mixed Martial Artist Josh Barnett uses the song as an entrance theme in PRIDE Fighting Championships.
