From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ahold Czech Republic, a.s. is a division of the Netherlands-based Ahold company. They are responsible for running the supermarket chain Albert and the hypermarket Hypernova, totalling about 300 locations. In 2005, they took over 56 outlets of the Austrian-based Julius Meinl supermarket, which left the Czech market, and subsequently remodelled them to their Albert brand.
