Ahmet Davutoğlu

Professor Ahmet Davutoğlu is the chief advisor to the Prime Minister of Republic of Turkey on foreign policy.

Professor Davutoglu holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University and he has been chairman of the Department of International Relations at Beykent University in Istanbul, Turkey.

His publications include "Alternative Paradigms: the Impact of Islamic and Western Weltanschauungs on Political Theory", "The Civilizational Transformation and the Muslim World", "Strategic Depth" and "The Global Crisis". Especially his book 'Stretegic Depth' is a very influential book in Turkey's foreign policy orientation. He is very influential in military, academia and government triangle of Turkey regarding the foreign policy.
