Ahmad Zamil

Ahmad Zamil bin Mohd Idris, or Zamil (born April 23, 1978 in Kuala Lumpur) is best known as one of the Season 1 finalists in the popular Malaysian reality talent show, Malaysian Idol.

Zamil was voted out on September 5th during the rock show after delivering his rendition of Hoobastank's "The Reason". He thus came 7th in the show.
Zamil is also called the "auntie's favourite" by Roslan Aziz. This is due to his humility and selection of songs that include Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer", Kenny Remy & Martin's "Suratan Atau Kebetulan" and Marc Anthony's "My Baby You" in the show.
He was eliminated for getting the lowest votes during the rock Show. His "The Reason" was much criticized by all three judges.

- Zamil has a bachelors degree in Accountancy and he graduated from RMIT University in 2003. Prior to entering Malaysian Idol, he worked as a Quality Officer in Citibank. He had also worked in Melbourne, Australia for a year before returning to graduate.
- Zamil now hosts TV2's "Hello On Two", a daily morning talk show that discusses the current issues and happenings with partner Carol Lee.
- He has appeared in a PLUS TV commercial aired by local TV stations a few months ago. In the commercial, he was driving a Lotus Elise and racing against Malaysian Idol judge Roslan Aziz.
- He is one of TMNet's ambassadors alongside with Jac, Dina, Vick & Rydee from Season 1.
