Agriotherium is an extinct genus of bear.
It was about 2 m (6 ft 8 in) long and quite primitive, bearing some dog-like characteristics. Its teeth, however, did develop into the typical bear pattern, so it is assumed to be omnivorous. Agriotherium was found in Namibia (also in France and China). Since the extinction of the Atlas Bear, there are currently no more indigenous bears in existence in Africa.
