Age of Consent (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Age of Consent is a song by New Order. It appears on their 1983 album Power, Corruption and Lies. It is featured in the trailer of the 2006 film Marie-Antoinette.
The song was supposed to be used in the film Wayne's World. However, the movie producers didn't have the money to pay New Order for the track so a cover version using studio musicians was used in place of the real track.
It has also been covered by numerous bands and performers, including Arcade Fire, Grant-Lee Phillips, Cienfuegos, Masters of the Hemisphere, Craig Marlowe, Electric Colony, Kii Noo, Neverending White Lights, and Thursday 29.
The song also features in the BBC documentary The Trap.
