looks like an HK91 to me, perhaps that is the designation in the states or an older model of same. butyou'll notice our special forces use this weapon instead of a variety of weapons we make. H&K is very popular here but priced way out of the range of the casual shooter or collector. Definitely a reliable weapon that will work when you really need it!

This picture is definately not the standard version of the AG3.Inge 20:43, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
For everyones information the pictures in question is now replaced. The current picture shows two actual AG3-s. --Gosub 22:33, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I think that the article needs an update to wheter or not the Norwegian armed forces are going to replace the AG-3 with another rifle. I have been trying to find some info on this, but I have been unable to find any recent updates regarding this. Anyone that knows anything? --Locazor 17:40, 14 July 2006 (CET)

[edit] Replacement

I will remove a sentence predicting that the Home Guard will keep the AG-3 for twenty years more. The Home Guard will on the contrary be one of the first branches to replace their issue rifle: http://www.mil.no/haren/tradok/start/article.jhtml?articleID=113648. [edit] 9mm

A friend of mine said that the Norwegian AG-3 uses 9mm instead of 7.62 mm ...

I seem to remember that you can insert some sort of mechanism which will allow it to use 9mm for practice. --Grumpy444grumpy 19:53, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
