After 7 Basketball Club was formed in 1998 by a group of urban professionals living in Accra, Ghana.

The group comprises mostly of basketball players who in their prime as athletes were frequently regarded as 'stars' in their various teams. Several of the members have played for the Ghana National Team.

The Club originally played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the St. Joseph's CYO school court in Adabraka just 'after 7pm' each night. Currently, the club has the Prisons Court in Cantonments as its practice court and has recently added Saturday mornings to its weekly routine.

Members of the group are known to celebrate birthdays and other occasions of importance together.
