I removed the part about the conquistadores. As I seem to recall (from my history lessons, back in high school!) "african jamaican" people were bought as slaves during the colony, not the conquest. I also have heard that they were prohibited from coming to Cartago or any other region of the country even during the begining of the past century. Also I have never actually heard the term "Afro Costa Rican", but I canĀ“t think of another "politicaly correct" term! --196.40.10.246 04:07, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
