I already brought this up at Talk:African American, but the fact that this image features three prominent Black Republicans makes it seem like it's pushing a pretty blatant political agenda here (especially since the image that it replaced had none of them, but did have Malcolm X). Powell perhaps belongs, but Brooke is not a terribly important political figure, and Rice isn't really all that much of a first. Robert C. Weaver, the (Democratic) first black cabinet secretary, seems of about equal merit to Brooke. Thurgood Marshall seems clearly more important. There's any number of prominent Black Democratic leaders who could be included, and yet, none are. The whole thing seems dubious and political to me. john k 22:34, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
