OK, now I wrote my first real draft for the article, and I will continue to discuss this with both Wikipedians (for style) and AFOLs (for content).

I sincerely hope it will not get trampled over again by impatient wikipedians... ;-) - Christian Treczoks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Treczoks (talk • contribs) 04:10 31 May 2005.

Might help to give a cite for the new terms... I hadn't heard of AFOLB prior to reading the article. Seems good to me though. - Larry Pieniazek —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.255.46.6 (talk • contribs) 08:25, 31 May 2005.
Hi, Larry, nice to meet you here ;-) I haven't seen AFOLB on LUGNET (yet), but I've seen it in non-English communities like 1000Steine. - Christian Treczoks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Treczoks (talk • contribs) 08:40, 31 May 2005.

[edit] Merge LUGNET here?

  • Oppose. AFOL (a fan) and LUGNET (one of many fan sites) are two distinct and separate ideas. There are many AFOL related sites that pass WP:WEB and merging them all here would be a bad idea. ++Lar: t/c 02:15, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

  • It would not make sense on merging AFOL and LUGNET as one. For the simple reason and common sense the meaning of 'AFOL' is used in other groups in real life not just on Wikipedia or any other websites. In fact the meaning of 'L' can be 'Love' or 'Lawnmower' and others. The same goes with the other letters. Honestly, the AFOL is a small known term in the LEGO fan base. The 'regular' everyday man or woman would not know or even care. I would not want to see flames/fights/arguements with other groups or companies. Its like using ASAP... which is known "As Soon As Possible', but is a real company name. I am against merging the two together. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.59.121.83 (talk • contribs) 21:53, 7 May 2006.

[edit] LEGOfan status

Is it correct to refer to a lively community based around LEGOfan? The site hasn't had functioning forums for a while now, and seems (as at today) to be only hosting a list of 'Ambassadors'.Elliot Pratt 13:08, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
