Afonso Guimarães da Silva, best known as Afonsinho (born in Rio de Janeiro, March 8, 1914 – dead February 20, 1997) was a Brazilian footballer in midfielder offensive role.
In career (1931–1946) was played for América, Flamengo, São Cristovão and Fluminense. He won four Rio de Janeiro State Championship (1931, 1940, 1941, 1946). For Brazilian team he was participated at South American Championship 1937, scored one goal, and in 1938 FIFA World Cup, played four games without scoring goal. He died at 82 years old.
