AFL Womens National Championships

The AFL Womens National Championships is the premier National and International competition in Women's Australian rules football for women. The tournament is organised by the sport's governing in body Australia the Women's Football Australia (WFA). The championships are currently held every year. In addition there is an U16 team from Papua New Guinea (that joined in 2006) and the USA plan to send a team for 2008 if the Australian Football International Cup have a Women's division and this is likely.
