Afif Ayyub

Afif Ayyub (alternative spellings: Afif Ayoub, Afif Ayyoub) (born August 31, 1953), a career diplomat, is the current Ambassador of Lebanon to the Sultanate of Oman. He has been in this position since September 2003.
He previously served in several diplomatic missions including Doha, Qatar; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Paris, France; The United Nations; and Canberra, Australia.
He is thought to have saved the Lebanese School in Doha from imminent bankruptcy by means of reforming its finances, curricula, and facilities. Now, with the help of the Qatari Government and donations from several Lebanese and Qatari individuals, the Lebanese School in Doha boasts one of the best campuses in Qatar.
Ayyub is a graduate of the American University of Beirut (AUB). He got his BSc in Chemistry in 1975 and MA in Political Science in 1979.
He is author of Resolutions and Decisions of the Security Council on Lebanon published in 1991 by Dar Al Khulud in English, French, and Arabic.
