The Wiki Plants project is excellent and fills a major gap in accessibility to knowledge. I stumble however on the exclusive use of the Spanish or ladino names of the species. All the visible and in some way relevant species had indigenous names established before the European invasion of the continent later called America. Some of these names are still widely used, and even those less used, or fallen out of use, deserve to be mentioned to make justice to "first arrived, first served" and as a cultural fact. A. punctatum is widely known as tique, E. cordifolia as muermo, etc. I intend to edit this article and other similar ones in this sense - unless someone here objects? --Lupo Manaro 08:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
