Aesthetics Of Hate is a song by thrash metal band Machine Head.
[edit] History
The song was written by the band's guitarist/vocalist, Robert Flynn. He states the song is loosely based on a writer, William Grim, who went out of his way to write a shameless and largely-disliked attack on Dimebag Darrell, titled "Aesthetics of Hate: R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell, Goodbye & Good Riddance," on the conservative website The Iconoclast the day after Darrell's murder. The band had first played the song on the Sounds Of The Underground 2006 tour on July 29th, 2006 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. It is featured on their 2007 album The Blackening and was recorded with a Washburn Dimebag model guitar which Dimebag Darrell himself gave to Flynn as a gift after smashing Rob's guitar the night before.
