On November 18th 2006, AeroSucre suffered its first airplane crash, which took place near Leticia, Colombia. The cargo plane was on final approach when it hit an antenna tower at the airport and crashed. Fog and poor visibility prevailed at the time of the accident. The aircraft involved in the incident was a Boeing 727-23F aircraft. Regrettably, all five passengers on board died soon after the accident.
