AeroHonduras

AeroHonduras is an airline based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It is a private carrier operating scheduled flights within Central America and to the USA. AeroHonduras ceased operations in 2005. (See link below).

The airline was established in January 2002 and started operations on 12 July 2002 under the name of Sol Air with a leased Boeing 727-200. In July 2003 Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela bought a significant stake in the company (45%) and rebranded the airline AeroHonduras. The remaining 55% stake is owned by Ricardo Martinez, who is the President of the airline.

AeroHonduras has suspended operations after the aircraft it wet-leased from Falcon Air Express were taken back. The airline says that this is a temporary move, but it has been suffering financial and operational problems for some time (ref: Airliner World, October 2005).

- Domestic scheduled services: Roatán, San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa.
