Aengus Olmucada

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aengus Olmucada, son of Fiacha Labhrainne, was a legendary High King of Ireland. During his father's reign, about 250 years after the arrival of the Milesians in Ireland, Aengus helped him subdue Britain. He became High King himself when he overthrew his father's killer, Eochaid Mumho. Pigs were large in Ireland during his reign. He fought fifty battles against the Fir Bolg, the Cruithne and the people of the Orkney islands. He was ultimately overthrown by Eochaid Mumho's son Enna Airgtheach.
