[edit] RfA
I see that you recently commented on my RfA of about a year ago. My apologies for the confusion. You said that you "can't condone the inclusion of toilet humor." Were you by any chance referring to "No running, shouting or piddling in the shallow end"? Aecis No running, shouting or piddling in the shallow end 23:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry about my silly mistake. I followed the RfA link in your signature (which I mistook for an advertisement) and overlooked the fact that the discussion was from last year (as we didn't color-code closed requests back then).
- Yes, that was the quote to which I was referring. I don't find it offensive, but it is a silly distraction. I'm not fond of needlessly large/colorful signatures, especially when the links are unintuitive. I believe that the community would be better served if your signature were along the lines of the following:

Vriendelijk bedankt!

[edit] An/I Personal comment
I responded to [1] FIrst, I want to say that it is always refreshing to see a kind person. Kindness is never naive or stupid. However, the posts of the "Pakistani" sound like the Nigerian email scams that target unsuspecting people trying to help. I'd hate to see Wikipedia editors (or anyone else) getting hurt this way. I would recommend the posts be deleted, and someone check into this further. I am not an admin, but I have surely seen a good many scams in my life. Jance 03:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Schaatsen
[edit] Footballers
Wuuh! :) As I can recall, I have had consulted it with User:Punkmorten and we decided to make such criteria to avoid mass additions to that list e.g. players with Scotland->England, England->Australia issues etc. As you maybe noticed I've hadn't made any additions to that list for a long time but I watch it and noticed there is some discussion about Albanian footballers. I think these criteria should become more clearer as I fear this list could be attacked in future by deletionists for original research etc. - Darwinek 00:10, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chess players
Hi Aecis ! Just now, I am adding names to the List of nationality transfers in chess. I have written many articules on chess players in Wikipedia, so it is rather easy for me to do it.
I would like to tell you that we ought to change some informations. 1. Savielly Tartakower was born in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) into a Polish-Austrian family. At the age of 12, as an Austrian citizen, he left for Vienna. After WW I, he moved to France but took Polish citizenship. After WW II, he received French citizenship. So, in my opinion, it is better to present this line: AUT - POL - FRA. 2. Erich Eliskases and Albert Becker did not tranfered from Austria to Germany. After Anschluss (the union), they lived in the same place (Austria became a part of Germany in the period 1938-1945). Their real "transfer" was in September 1939 in Argentina. 3. Israel is a country in Asia ! Greetings, Mi Mibelz 21:01, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I think, it is interesting but problematic idea. The III Reich was a form of the State of Germany only in the period 1933-45. Most of Germans lived before and after that time. Maybe, it is actual for Becker and Eliskases but what to do with such players as Paul Felix Schmidt (EST - GER - USA), Karl Gilg (CSK - GER), Paul Mross (POL - GER), etc., who played in FRG (Germany) under a black-red-gold flag, after WW II.
The Israel Chess Federation is a member of the European Chess Union because of politics not geography. The List of nationality transfers in chess include "To countries in Africa", "To countries in the Americas", "To countries in Asia", "To countries in Europa", and "To countries in Oceania". Well, I am sure that Israel should therefore be sorted under Asia.

[edit] Lists of chess masters
Hi Aecis ! Would you be so kind to remove "List of people who have beaten Garry Kasparov in chess" and "List of nationality transfers in chess", which now are among persons, to the place where there are "List of people who have beaten Bobby Fischer in chess", "List of people who have beaten Jose Raul Capablanca in chess", etc. (Sorry but I do not know how to do it). It should be easier to find them.
All the best to you. Mibelz 15:05, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AFD
When speedy deleting an article listed at AFD, please remember to close the AFD with the rationale. It has been done for you at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dirty mother nation. Regards, Navou banter 01:10, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- No prob... Question, I just made this afdclose template that I have used in your case. Did you find it useful, do you think its something the project will find useful? Any input is appreciated. Navou banter 01:16, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Armenian genocide
Yes, I was just wondering myself what the best course is, and also I was worried about the three-revert rule if I kept reverting. I suppose asking for semi-protection is the best course here - I'll add a note to that effect to WP:AN/I. --A bit iffy 02:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
