Aechmea blanchetiana (syn. Aechmea laxiflora Mez) is a bromeliad typical of Atlantic Coast restingas vegetation which is an ecosystem of Atlantic Forest biome. This plant grows in Brazil, specially in Bahia, and it is often used as an ornamental plant.
