Advanced Functional Materials is a leading peer-reviewed materials science journal published eighteen times per year. Advanced Functional Materials is the sister journal to Advanced Materials, publishing Full Papers, Feature Articles, and Highlights on the development and applications of functional materials, including topics in chemistry, physics, nanotechnology, ceramics, metallurgy, and biomaterials.
The 2005 ISI Impact Factor of Advanced Materials was 6.770.[1]
Other journals in the Advanced Functional Materials family are:
- Advanced Materials, which has the same scope and standards as Advanced Materials, but publishes shorter Communications, as well as Reviews and Research News.
- Small, which focuses on experimental and theoretical studies of fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research at the micro- and nanometer scale.
- Chemical Vapor Deposition, which publishes Reviews, Short Communications, and Full Papers on all aspects of chemical vapor deposition and related technologies.
Advanced Functional Materials was launched in 2001.
Frequent topics covered by the journal also include liquid crystals, semiconductors, superconductors, optics, lasers, sensors, porous materials, light-emitting materials, magnetic materials, thin films, and colloids.
