Advanced Digital Information Corporation (ADIC) is a provider of large-scale storage solutions for information technology, especially the open systems marketplace. Their product line includes both hardware (such as the Scalarâ„¢ line of automatic tape library robots) and software (such as the StorNextâ„¢ File System and Hierarchical Storage Management suite). Partners and resellers include Apple, Dell, EMC, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP, IBM and Sun.
On May 2, 2006, ADIC announced that it had entered into an agreement to merge with Quantum Corp. The acquisition was completed on 22 August 2006 [1].
