ADT has a tradition of buying out smaller companies to gain their contracts, one notable example is Wells Fargo. ADT's main competitor for Wells Fargo business is Videotronix Inc. a Twin Cities Based Security System Integrator. It is important to note that Wells Fargo maintains its own central station monitoring service and that ADT does virtually none of the service for these alarms in the midwest.

I should also add that ADT bought the Wells Fargo security business in 1999. I suppose that should be in the article. Americasroof 14:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
