[edit] History

The ADT College building was formally the building of Mayfield School. Mayfield School left the building in 1987 when it amalgamated with Garret Green School to become Burntwood School.

ADT College's establishment, in 1992, was funded by donations from various organisations. ADT Security Services was one of these organisations, which explains the school's name and identical logo.

[edit] The Future of ADT College

The school is in the process of becoming an academy. A definite date is not yet known, although the change is expected to be complete by the academic year of 2008. It has also been stated by senior staff that the name of the school will be changed. The new name has now been comfirmed to be Ashcroft Technology Academy.
