Ashlux, please explain to be what this tag implies. Just needs a source?--Nmajdan 02:36, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rename
This page needs to be moved to Adrian Peterson (running back). AD will be a professional player probably by this time next year, or by 2008 at the latest. Once his collegiate career is finished, this article title will be inaccurate. I would have no problem if this change was made now or in the future, but it will need to be made.--NMajdan•talk 17:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is that another Adrian Peterson is also a running back, although in the NFL instead. jareha (comments) 23:30, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- I knew there was another Adrian Peterson in the NFL, but I didn't know he was a running back too. Well, how should they be differentiated? Year of birth? State of birth? College? I dislike doing NFL team like the other Peterson since that can change.--NMajdan•talk 01:18, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- I believe you are supposed to use the middle initial on both articles. Then a decision on who is probably more noteable (I'd vote for the college one, since he's running for the Heisman) should get the automatic redirect from the non middle-initial page. --MECU≈talk 19:40, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm about 95% certain that this Adrian Peterson's middle initial is L, although I don't know the full name.--NMajdan•talk 20:17, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- I heard from another fan that his middle name is Louis (on OUInsider here: http://mb22.scout.com/fouinsiderfrm1.showMessage?topicID=131678.topic). We can either rename the article Adrian Louis Peterson or just Adrian L. Peterson. I'd probably prefer the latter.--NMajdan•talk 13:12, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- It is obvious that the article needs to be re-named, and I would also probably prefer Adrian L. Peterson. I'm having trouble finding the other Adrian Peterson's middle name, though. As for who gets the redirect, I would expect it to point to this page sine the Chicago back is not even really playing this year (one run for one yard on the season) and was a sixth-round draft pick while this A.P. will probably go first or second and definately in the first round. z4ns4tsu\talk 15:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re-write
I am currently working off-line on a complete re-write of this bio. I'll try to incorporate any changes made to the page between now and when I get the new article finished, so don't hesitate to edit with more information. I just feel that this page needs to be re-worked from scratch so that it fits the guidlines for biographies and so that the information presented has a better flow. z4ns4tsu\talk 15:59, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- You can actually find the on-going re-write here if you are interested. I've done little more than set up a goal layout at the moment, but it's getting there. z4ns4tsu\talk 22:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
- Good luck, this is currently one of the most poorly written things I have ever seen in my life. Since when do encyclopedia entries refer to what the subject would do to me? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.161.155.15 (talk) 21:12, 31 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] NFL Draft
I listed that he will be drafted in round 1 in his infobox. This isn't debatable and please don't change it. It's an absolute lock that he'll go in the first round. Where he goes shall be determined later.--MP123 04:32, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree it is a lock. But Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. It is my belief that any speculation on where he will go in the draft should be left off until the draft actually occurs.↔NMajdan•talk 14:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
