Adriane Knoppix

Adriane Knoppix is a Knoppix distribution of the Linux PC operating system that is intended for blind and visually impaired people. It is due for release in 2007 as a Live CD.

Adriane Knoppix is named after Adriane Knopper, the wife of Klaus Knopper, the developer of Knoppix. Adriane has a visual impairment, and has been assisting Klaus with the development of the software.[1]

Adriane Knoppix is not only for the blind but also for beginners who don’t know much about computers. It is simple to use since the user does not have to search through a labyrinth of applications to find what they need. Since Adriane Knoppix is voice based it is much easier to use than other complicated operating systems, especially if you are not a power users.
