Professor Adrian Korbel is a fictional character in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, portrayed by American actor Eyal Podell. The character debuted on-screen on September 18, 2006.

Adrian is Colleen Carlton's (Adrianne Leon) University lecturer, and also Colleen's somewhat sparring partner, as they started off on the wrong foot. While stuck at school during an ice storm, he and Colleen have a one- night stand. It has been revealed that Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) distrusts him and that he grew up near the beach. After World War II, his parents emigrated from Czechoslovakia to Caracas. On Brad's request, J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) is investigating him.
Adrian has also begun a flirtation with Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz), who recently arrived in Genoa City and is currently a singer at the Indigo club. He recently broke up with Amber after finding out that Colleen and J.T broke up.
He and Colleen have since slept together several times. However they are torn between their feelings for each other and the need to do the "right" thing, as teacher/student. They have broken off the relationship several times, but appear unable to remain apart. After a romantic Valentine's evening together, Colleen discovers incriminating evidence in Adrian's apartment linking him to the disappearance of two other characters. She rushes out of his apartment and is kidnapped. Adrian is now coming under the scrutiny of the police.
It turns out Jana Hawkes (Emily O'Brien) was the one who kidnapped Colleen and had been trying to frame Korbel. She locked her in a freezer, along with Jana's boyfriend Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), intending for Kevin to take the fall. They were both rescued by Adrian and J.T.
Adrian professed his love for Colleen while she was unconscious in the hospital.
In March 2007, Adrian gets a call from the dean at the university that she found out about Colleen and Adrians relaitionship. Colleen demanded Adrian to lie to the dean about their relaitionship but Adrian refused to lie because of what will happen. But he eventually agreed and went with Colleen. After the dean told Adrian that the case of their relaitionship has been dropped. They had to give people ideas that they moved on (which they still loved each other).
