Adrian Finighan is a news anchor for CNN International (CNNi). He is based in London and works on such shows as Business International and World News. He also regularly covers for Max Foster on CNN Today.

Finighan's interest in broadcast news journalism began in his early teens. After leaving school, he was offered the chance to study 'on the job' for a recognised journalism qualification with the South Wales radio station where he had been working part time since the age of 16. In 1988, he joined the BBC as a radio producer and presenter. He progressed from local radio, where he started the first regional, weekday phone-in on BBC local radio, to national radio, working as a news reader for BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, then onto television, joining the BBC’s business unit. He eventually became one of the regular anchors on BBC World prior to moving on to CNN International in 2005.
