Adolf Hubert van Scherpenzeel-Thim

Adolf Hubert van Scherpenzeel-Thim was the second Mayor of the tiny Moresnet from February 21, 1859 – May 30, 1859. The city-state was declared neutral and independent as part of an agreement by larger neighbors the Netherlands, Prussia and Belgium. The area is currently part of Belgium. [1]
