Admiral (Sweden)

Admiral (Amiral). According to current practice only royalties and the Commander in Chief carry the title of Admiral in Sweden. Vice Admirals, Rear Admirals and Flotilla Admirals are addressed as Admirals in daily speech.

The title of Riksamiral was the title of the chief of the Admiralty 1634 - 1791.
