Adjud is a city in Vrancea county, Moldavia, Romania, with a population of 17,677.
Paper manufacturing and textiles are Adjud's main industries.
An ancient Dacian settlement, named "Piroboridava", located in today's commune of Poiana Nicoreşti), was discovered.[citation needed]
The Castle of Lahovary is located near Adjud.
