Adjágas

Adjágas is a Norwegian band consisting of two Sámi joikers, Marielle Gaup and Lawra Somby. It was formed in 2004. The band's name is a Sámi word describing the mental state experienced during transition from being asleep to awake. Adjagas was scheduled to open the 2005 Glastonbury Festival Pyramid Stage, but their set was cancelled due to a flooding incident which caused many electrical problems.
