Adellion

Adellion is a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) set in a vast, three dimensional world. It is being developed by the UK company HonourBound Ltd. The staff is primarily volunteer based, this most likely accounts for its delayed release time. It has been in production since 1998. It has been featured in several magazines^{[citation needed]} and has several fansites.^{[citation needed]}

Adellion will focus on roleplaying more so than other MMORPG's to date have. It prefers realistic simulation over fast-paced gameplay. To attempt to achive this the game will feature permadeath and will not contain any magic or supernatural animals. Instead it will focus on community building, tiny plots, politics and player interaction.

It is currently being published by Alchemic Dream.

Adellion has only a single species; humans. To achieve the variety found in other games, humanity is divided into six cultures; the Salanians, the Tarians, the Dalmites, the Drulons, the Sakoians and the Aethans. Each of these is original and has its own customs and rituals, as well as its own cultural leader, a player who will lead the culture in the game. Initially cultural leaders are likely to be staff members, however it is hoped that this role will be handed over to players as the game matures.
