My Edit Counts

Click here to view my edit count. While I don't think they are an indication of the quality of my contributions to Wikipedia, I do like to keep an eye on where I spend time. For example, if I notice that 40% of my edits are going to my user page, then I need to re-evaluate my wiki-priorities.

A little about me...

I grew up in Princeton, Missouri and was educated in the Princeton R-5 school district from Kindergarten until graduation in 1999.

I received my Associates of Applied Sciences degree from North Central Missouri College [1] in May of 2001 and concentrated in the microcomputer specialist discipline. Later, I transferred to Northwest Missouri State University [2] to pursue a degree in music education, but later changed to major in interactive digital media with an emphasis in computer science.

During my college career, I had the opportunity to work for many different employers. The most notable is Premium Standard Farms, Inc [3]where I worked in the industrial engineering department with various job duties and responsibilities. I have also worked for Information Systems as a PERT (Peer Educator in Residence for Technology) and as a Computer Lab Consultant. Additionally, I have also had previous job experiences in custom combining, farm aide, internet auctioning assistant, and as a cook.

Because of both my applied and formal educational background in addition to my diverse work history, I believe that I have a lot to contribute to Wikipedia. I firmly believe in the merits of this project and others like it across the world.

Please feel free to leave comments on my talk page about anything you like. You can also email me using the ‘email this user’ option above. I can’t guarantee a quick response because I get quite busy, but I will try my best!

What I do here...

Most of the time, I try to say involved in the projects listed on this page. From time to time, I will start articles on subjects relating to what I know (or wish to learn more about). Although contrary to the ‘starting a new article’ policy, I usually get as much information about the subject as I can before I publish a page for the first time. This seems to help the article flow easier and more logically than going back and adding chunks of information.

In the next year or two, I hope to begin working more on adding pictures to Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons [4]. I will also keep my eyes open for other ways to contribute to Wikipedia. If you have any suggestions, please leave me a note on my talk page. I'm always happy to lend my support to anything that will help ensure the long-term success of Wikipedia while adhering to its core principles.

Quote
"There is a greater darkness than the one we fight It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities; it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender."
G'Quan, Babylon 5

I studied computer programming in college, and all I got was this lousy compiler error.

User page vandalism

From time-to-time, thoughtless individuals who probably have no idea how wikipedia works routinely vandalize user pages. This page has only been vandalized twice (more to come?).
