This battle took place on 29 November 1811 in the Adriatic Sea and was a British victory over the French.

The French ships were encountered south of Lissa. Persanne fled and was captured after a long chase. Pauline retreated after the approach of Kingfisher, leaving Pomone to be captured, which it was after losing 2 masts.
